5. QuickBooks Online (Intuit) Integration

If you use our Application that integrates with QuickBooks Online (a product of Intuit Inc.), the following applies:

5.1 Data We Access from QuickBooks

When you authorize our Application to connect to your QuickBooks Online account, we may access the following data:

  • Transaction records (purchases, payments, deposits)
  • Account balances and chart of accounts
  • Profit and Loss (P&L) reports
  • Vendor and customer lists

5.2 How We Access Your Data (OAuth 2.0)

Our Application uses the OAuth 2.0 authorization protocol, as required by Intuit, to securely access your QuickBooks data. This means:

  • You explicitly authorize the Application through Intuit's secure login flow
  • We never see or store your QuickBooks username or password
  • Authorization tokens are used to access data on your behalf
  • You may revoke access at any time through your QuickBooks account settings (Apps > Manage Apps)

5.3 How We Use QuickBooks Data

Data retrieved from QuickBooks Online is used solely for:

  • Internal bookkeeping and management reporting
  • Populating private Google Sheets for financial analysis
  • Tax preparation and accounting reconciliation

We do not sell, rent, lease, or share your QuickBooks financial data with any third parties. QuickBooks data is not used for advertising, marketing, or any purpose other than those described above.

5.4 Token Storage and Security

OAuth 2.0 access and refresh tokens are stored in Google Cloud Firestore with the following protections:

  • Encryption at rest using Google Cloud's default encryption
  • Access restricted via Google Cloud IAM (Identity and Access Management) policies
  • All data transmitted over HTTPS/TLS encrypted connections
  • Application hosted on Google Cloud Run with built-in security controls

5.5 Data Retention for QuickBooks Data

OAuth tokens are retained only as long as the integration is active. Retrieved financial data is not stored permanently within the Application; it is displayed or exported at the time of request. If you disconnect the Application, all stored tokens are deleted.

5.6 Disconnecting QuickBooks Access

You can disconnect the Application from your QuickBooks account at any time by:

  • Navigating to your QuickBooks Online account > Apps > Manage Apps and revoking access
  • Contacting us at [email protected] to request disconnection

Upon disconnection, all stored OAuth tokens will be deleted and the Application will no longer be able to access your QuickBooks data.

Our Application is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Intuit Inc. QuickBooks and Intuit are trademarks of Intuit Inc. Your use of QuickBooks Online is governed by Intuit's own privacy policy and terms of service.
